title=\"Kristull The Surprise\">Siru<\/a><\/em>, the original swamphound.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Silken Swamphounds<\/strong> was an expression coined by Eero Juhola in Finland, in the early 2000&#8217;s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The term <em>Swamphound<\/em> was used on the site of Kennel Sarafias to describe Silkens with an irresistible attraction to mud, ditches, ponds and every other body of water imaginable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The page was so funny we all started to use the expression Silken Swamphounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately the site is long since gone but the text, although without the photos, can still be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20080515172325fw_\/http:\/\/users.kaski-net.net\/~ejuhola\/sarafias\/swamphounds.html\" title=\"Wayback Machine\"
